It's been over a year since Cinder and the group's adventure with the Sky Kingdom. Everything seems fine. Ronin is cured, and everyone is happy and safe. But an invasion of SkyWings awakens them, making them realize they're in more danger they thought they were in. Cinder doesn't want her weaknesses to be revealed, especially not to Skyblaze or Soot. Ronin fears that the cure might not have worked, and that his Infected counterpart might be back. Jacques is trying to figure out what is wrong with Ronin. Comet wants to protect the kids.
