The Vase in The Sand

When I first wrote this poem, It was originally a story called "The Sands of Time". It was supposed to be about a beautiful vase that kept getting dropped until it turned into sand but even when it was sand, it never stopped believing that it was a beautiful vase.
But now I changed the title and the story.
What inspired the change was that someone I really cared about didn't feel as beautiful as they "used to be" and somebody else made them feel worse by saying something they shouldn't have. I for one think that they look beautiful and I hope they know that they're loved then, now, and later.
I solemnly believe that when someone genuinely cares about you, they'll appreciate you at your best and your worst.

Sometimes we fear truth over reality. But things get dark and heavy and we play the blame game. We end up hurting others or ourselves even. We don't think before we act or we don't say before we do. This is the evolution of my madness. A cluster of rants and thoughts and poems for you guys. You Were Always a Daydreamer Draft Version
When you're forced to mask Reality with Fantasy. The lifted layers finally unveil the tombstone of self. The biggest cities into the tiniest pebbles The massive ideas and thoughts formed into merely something to fear. A protagonist who already forgot his name Remembers He is a Daydreamer. Which is the only way to cope with life after multiple tragedies. And the fraud on fake friends faces. Only to daydream. As losing touch takes a toll on that rotting indulgence slowly. This get's quite horrific as it goes on. It's not to enjoy but to reflect on and experience. I decided to publish the draft version, because I don't think I can fully finish YWAADD final edition any time soon. I am in the worst mental and emotional state ever. It's quite a struggle and I suffer heavily. So yeah, the polished draft kind of holds up aswell too. The final one is way longer and eventful. So, um yeah I don't expect this to get attention at all, it's kind of really mid in some parts. But enjoy, or don't I guess. Yes this was inspired by Everywhere At The End Of Time. "Coming!" I responded closing the LMK edit I was enjoying, Summer break finally was here and I was too excited to see my little sister! Finally everything was coming together! _____ My lungs ache and clench desperately as I fail to open my eyes, soaked in blood and debris I can feel everything I ever hoped for leaving me... Nora...I'm so...so- _____ "..." I exhale somberly as I flex my fingers to their best of limits, till the thick gauze and bandages force me to relax... How come I remember everything that happened? That doesn't really happen in resurrection right? Aren't I supposed to forget my past life? Well, I do still have my phone...and I look almost identical to before... Did I even die? Or did something else happen in those few seconds? _____ A seemingly normal yet depressed teen, only 19 and a half... Summer break should've been the beginning of blessing after blessing... But this was a nightmare...one that she somehow coped with...and continues to. _____ 'I don't have time to cry anymore-! Their gone! I'm dead! I'm just a dead memory to them now! Emotional Amnesia
Sometimes when I say "I'm okay", I want someone to look me in the eyes, hug me tight and say, "I know you're not". I have felt like this many times in my life; as a kid, teenager and as an adult. I have seen many things in my life and felt even more things that has been horribly depressing... But I got up. I stood up to walk on for another day. I dealt with my emotional amnesia the only way I knew I could and that was by writing it out into poetry. I wanted to forget my pain and forget what I was going through. I needed that cut of the blade or a pill to drink to take everything away. My poetry became both my pill and my blade... Now I share the most intimate part of myself with the world. The part of me I kept hidden in the closet. The part I never thought I would ever present to the world. Now is the time I have to stop having amnesia about my emotions. It is time to learn, to better myself and to stand up and remember the things that I shut out like a voluntary amnesia all these years. Those who are offended after reading this - f**k you! Generations by generations the power pass but slowly dying. Until one was born with the power as strong as the first time it was given.
