The alley buzzed with tension as Jihoon leaned against the wall, eyes locked on Officer Kwon Soonyoung. The rain dripped from the eaves above, but Jihoon barely noticed. He knew Soonyoung's reputation-relentless, unyielding. But there was something else in the officer's gaze, a flicker of familiarity that gnawed at Jihoon's instincts.

"You should've run," Soonyoung warned, stepping closer, his eyes hard but searching. 

Jihoon smirked, though his heart raced. "You should've stayed out of my way."

For a moment, they just stared, rivals caught in a standoff. But under the hostility, something unspoken lingered-an old connection neither could place, buried deep beneath the roles they played.
