The first episode takes place in the fictional city of Taipei North, a hub for the world's most advanced chip supply chain. Three key companies in the technology park represent critical strategic positions in the chip industry:

- Taiwan Military Semiconductor Corporation (TMSC): The world's largest chip foundry, possessing top-tier chip manufacturing technology.
- uVIDIA: The world's leading chip design company, known for its top-tier chip design capabilities.
- Eanuc: Japan's most advanced robotics manufacturer.

The story is set in Taiwan in 2024. TMSC has discovered a new type of room-temperature and pressure-stable quantum chip that could revolutionize the tech world. This chip is co-developed by top scientists from Taiwan and Japan.
