Shortly after the death of the Polus crew, Red is determined to protect his remaining friends, no matter what. New challenges await him, maybe more than what he's prepared for. But he won't lose anyone else, and that's a promise he knows he will keep.

However, Red realizes that there's more to this slaughter. Throughout a tense and terrifying series of events across starships, planets, and space stations, she must learn sacrifice. After waiting for it all their lives, the crew is going to space. The trip was supposed to go smoothly, traveling to Polus and doing research there and then returning back to Earth. But a glitch in the system sends a virus into the crew, which infects one of the members with a sudden desire to kill the other crewmates. The only problem? There's no way to tell which one is infected. The twisted game only gets worse as more and more dead bodies show up around Polus.
