Frightened, shoddy, powerless, alone and… lonely. Mackenzie Horan is a regular girl. Smart, kind and supportive of her family and friends. All though she has a twin brother, Niall Horan. A big pop-star drowning in money and fame. Mackenzie and Niall has a strong and loving relationship willing to die for each other but live separately. Niall alone in his giant flat in London and Mackenzie with their parents in Ireland. When Mackenzie one day pass out she wakes up at the hospital two days after without remembering what happened the last two days. The doctor tells her that she's diagnosed with "Acute myeloid leukemia" a type of blood cancer. The hospital in Dublin don't have any chance to start any treatment soon. And since Mackenzie found about her diagnose pretty late she has no other oppurtunities then do the treatment in London.
