Sometimes the heart knows what it wants before the mind catches up.
I heard a faint mumbled from him that sounded like a "God you're stubborn" before I felt a pair of arms scooping me off the board and picking me up.
"What the hell" I said, quickly holding into his neck with one of my arms. "You know this is considered kidnapping right?"
"I thought we moved past that, it's not that big of a deal and you said you live close by"
"Jesus," I muttered under my breath, struggling to hold into his neck and my leg at the same time. "Are you doing this to every person you meet?"
His response caught me off guard, "Nah," he shook his head, his gaze locking with mine. "You're one of a kind." In that moment, as his eyes bore into mine, I just started back blankly.
