When Lumine finally meets Aether again in front of the Defiled Statue of the Seven, she chooses her brother - and by extension, the Abyss - over her friends without hesitation. Heartbroken by the betrayal, Paimon sets out to get her back. After all, who is she without the Traveler?
Meanwhile, Lumine still isn't quite sure about her decision. Nothing feels right. Aether is more distant, and it's hard to return to what she had after so long. But she's already chosen, and there's no turning back now. After all, she's gotten what she started her journey across Teyvat for. Right?

Why Lumine like that? Is it because she fell something to that ginger-colored hair guy? Or is it because she just wants to change? It was a normal day for Lumine. Well, as normal as it can be with abyss mages and hilichurls attacking her path to Sumeru as Paimon kept complaining about how slow they were. Really, she just wanted to find her brother again and ask him why he joined the abyss. Is that too much to ask? Apparently, it is because after killing a hydro abyss mage, a black hole appeared below her which swallowed both her and Paimon and brought them to a large room filled with both familiar and unfamiliar people with a bear who claimed to show them her travels, both the past and the future.
