Clara is the typical lady of the 1900s. She wears red lipstick, her hair is always perfectly styled, she knows where each utensil is placed during each meal, she speaks in soft tones, her parents always approve of her choices, she knows how to manage small talk, and manners are always a priority. Like every other lady of her era, she's found a typical wealthy gentleman whom she's fallen madly in love with, and who makes her very happy. But when tragedy strikes, Clara is unsure of what to do with her life. After all, what can you do when such a sad occurrence takes place? However, she may have found a savior; someone to be her refuge, her haven, when all has been Hell lately. The only problem is, her certain savior isn't a typical gentlemen of the 1900s. And that is a problem, especially in a lady's world.

Clara Ashford lived in a small town in England, a town where not a lot happened but one that was full of secrets. Only those who lived there knew the secret and nobody ever left the town or moved into the town. It was Clara's 21st birthday which meant her whole life was about to change. She would enter the woods on the evening of her birthday and either return to live a mundane existence in the town or she would never return and would have the life everyone dreamed of having. Would she be able to cope with the pressures of life after she turned 21? Would it be a breeze and be all she'd dreamed of? Or would it be her worst nightmare full of twists and turns that she couldn't cope with?
