PART 2:
Six-year-old Kanoa lives in Hiroshima, Japan. She lives the normal life that any young child would-along with her great interest in planes. But the plane she chases one day, drops an object so deadly it will wipe out her entire city. It is the first atomic bomb.

FUN FACT:
The title, the land of frozen shadows, refers to the way shadows, cast off of objects such as a pole or a bench onto the ground, were frozen in time by the blast from the bomb.
