Twins, Iara and Isabel Fujiwara were born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil. From a young age, the twins were competitive as ever and were always trying to one up each other. After being introduced to volleyball, the twins were unstoppable. Iara and Isabel went to excessive lengths to go pro after graduating high school. However, when Iara decides to go to Japan and is recruited to play for the national team, her life starts to spiral downwards. No longer hitting like the ace she was, Iara finds herself in a slump, envious seeing her twin thrive in Brazil. Feeling hopeless with the Tokyo 2021 Olympics approaching, she encounters an athletic trainer named Iwaizumi Hajime.
