- Smoke in my mouth, my lungs. Suffocating. The smell of burning skin. A woman falling. A man shouting. A fading blurry light. Fire. Pain. Falling. Spiraling into darkness. And suddenly, light. Awake. Awareness. Awareness it was just a dream. But not being sure. -

Jessie Hooper was caught in a house fire when she was 7, and survived. She even has the scars to show for it. However ever since she came to in hospital, after being rescued from the burning house by the firemen, she can't remember a single thing about where she lives, who her friends and family are and, more importantly, the only thing she can remember about herself is her name, Jessie. She has post traumatic amnesia. And no one knows when it will wear off.

Years later Jessie is living with her parents in a secluded farmhouse in the middle of the Italian countryside on a grape farm. Just her, her parents, the fields, and the cat. And a new surname; Cooper.

And so they lived happily ever after. Until one day Jessie wakes up from a nightmare, which was more real than she wanted it to be, which was about her life before the fire. She soon discovers after a good few more nightmares that they aren't dreams, but the memories she lost of before the fire. But her parents in the memory aren't the parents she has now. So she decides to run away from her over protective not parents and find her real family.
Assuming they're all still alive of course.
