As Caitlyn Kiramman enters her third year at the prestigious Piltover Academy of the Arts, challenges in difficult coursework, bothersome new classmates, and strict family expectations await her as she begins to plan for her junior art show at the end of the year. Tensions run high as new experiments in her acclaimed art highlight the ever-growing strain between Piltover and the Undercity.

Vi is no stranger to the hardships of life and the struggles present in the Undercity. But when she and her friends are offered a full-ride to experience the glitz and glamor of Piltover's esteemed art school as a part of an initiative to decrease pressure between the two cities, they can't help but accept it. Though her ties to the Undercity remain, she can't help but find herself forming an aching attachment to the top student at the Academy...

Through the tribulations that plague the two cities, Caitlyn and Vi must navigate their feelings of contempt for each other, and the possibility that as their feelings may grow for one another, so too does the divide between their cities.
