A soft-core romance, where love finds its way in an arranged marriage.

Zara, a girl in her early twenties, and Zubair, who is about to depart as a ship captain, marry hastily. While Zara is delighted with the match, Zubair despises the marriage, seeing it as a filial duty to provide his parents with a daughter-in-law who can care for them. The truth emerges on their wedding night, and for at least two years, they maintain a façade for his parents' sake.

However, upon Zubair's return from the sea for the third time, something changes within him, altering the dynamic of their relationship. With his family's increasing pressure for a grandchild, their situation begins to shift rapidly..

When Ziyana Raza's cousin is abandoned by a fiancé who appeared to have loved her very much, it's Ziyana's last straw. A former hopeless romantic-now disillusioned by too many betrayals and heartbreaks-Ziyana abandons all notions of true love and vows to remain single forever. "Forever" meaning as long as her Pakistani Muslim family's patience for her singlehood thins. Besides, she's too busy hating her grueling corporate job as a data analyst, anyway. And as long as she tells herself that true love and the sacred bond of a husband and wife spoken of in the Qur'an is only for a few lucky souls, she'll be fine. But right when she's settling into a somewhat comfortable routine of avoiding men and scoffing at the idea of marriage, Shahzain Shah barrels into her life. Charming, infuriating, and a little too observant, the new BI Manager of her company seems determined to challenge Ziyana's cynicism, missing no opportunity to alert her of how absurd he thinks her "plan" is. On top of that, he's sharp and demanding in the workplace she already hates, making him her thirteenth reason for quitting. But as much as he gets on Ziyana's nerves, he also...somehow knows all the right things to say, the right things to do. Recognizes and appreciates her intellect. Befriends her brother and respects her parents. Makes her laugh even when she's trying desperately to hold it back. She can't help but reminisce that an old version of herself would have thought Shahzain checked all the boxes for a potential spouse. Too bad she's dead set on her mission...right?

At first, they refused. Zara Kai and Archer Mays-two strangers bound by their parents' desperation-had both rejected the idea of an arranged marriage. But when Archer's father threatened to strip him of his inheritance and the company he had spent years building, he had no choice but to comply. Zara, too, had been worn down. Her mother's pleading eyes, the unspoken fear in her voice-*"Please, just agree."*-had finally broken her resolve. She said yes to a man who promised her a peaceful life, a chance at love. She didn't know she was signing away her happiness. --- Sneak peak~ The moment the door closed behind them, the mask slipped. Archer's hands were cold as they cupped her face. His kiss was nothing more than a fleeting press of lips-mechanical, devoid of warmth. Zara didn't resist, though every instinct screamed at her to pull away. There was something about him-an intoxicating dominance that left her paralyzed. *"Now, let's finish quickly,"* he murmured against her skin, fingers working at the clips of her dress. *"My friends are waiting."* The words snapped her back to reality. She shoved him away, her palm cracking across his cheek. Archer didn't flinch. He only smirked, his dark eyes glinting with something cruel. Zara's chest heaved, humiliation and fury burning through her. She had known this marriage would be loveless-but she hadn't expected *this*. *"What did you think?"* he taunted, straightening his collar. *"Husband and wife? We're nothing. We can be strangers with benefits-but even that's too generous for you."* Before she could respond, he gripped her arm and shoved her toward the door. *"I'll give you some time,"* he said, voice dripping with mockery. *"Not that you deserve it."* The lock clicked behind her. Zara stood there, trembling, the weight of her mistake crashing down. This wasn't a marriage. It was a prison ~completed
