The Vice-Captain of the third division defense force, Hoshina Soshiro, finds himself in a near death situation after encountering a Kaiju that is larger than he expected. The fact that his communication got cut off and being isolated from the rest of the officers put him on the spot, as his only option is to survive the attack.

However, a mysterious person appeared to save the day with an unfamiliar uniform and weapon that takes out the Kaiju single-handedly. After spotting Hoshina who is watching her from afar, she walks up to him to check his condition. When Hoshina is about to show his gratitude to her, she simply replied.

"Keep in mind you owe me one on this."
