Gandalf looked at her strangely once more, before a glimmering fleck of excitement crossed over his features. Upon catching her gaze wandering toward the backside of a certain flaxen-haired young prince, Gandalf would have looked nearly predatory to those who knew him well. And none of them were present to warn the little woman.

This, the wizard had decided in that moment, would be a most amusing adventure indeed.

Firiel-May Brandybuck fled to the home of her Uncle Bilbo, in the dead of night, out to escape a fate she thought worse than death: an arranged marriage. But even her strange gift of foresight, vague and imprecise, could not have prepared her for any of what came of it. At the inference of a wandering wizard, Firiel is called to adventure, and she will not refuse. His plans for her are simple, yet great in their future impact. All Firiel has to do is survive the trip. Should be easy enough, given the protector she has managed to acquire. A dwarven warrior, who may one day be a king.

"You talk too much elf-boy," Arya muttered, her voice hoarse from all the screaming she had done due to the pain of her injuries. Legolas scrunched up his nose in disdain of the nickname, but a smile soon found his way onto his face. "I am not a boy." Her eyes opened then, and her familiar hazel eyes met his striking blue ones. A small smile made itself present on her face as she looked at him, a twinkle of mischief evident in her eyes. "No. You are not." ¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨ Arya woke up some years ago with a grey-haired wizard leaning over her. She had no memories, no indications that told her who or what she was. With the outer appearances of an elf, but eyes that flash orange and strange symbols that appear on her skin - no one seems able to tell her anything about her past. She joined the quest of Thorin's dwarven company to have something to do, and she quickly became a part of their group. After a long and arduous journey but still a far away from the mountain they stumble into trouble. And whom is there to save her, but a certain Mirkwood prince with long blond hair and a pair of startling blue eyes. With one of them bursting with light, and the other filled with darkness their story will be anything but easy. "Someday you will return home too." Reluctantly, she opened one of the heavy wooden chests. The lid creaked loudly as it flipped back. A dusty cloak. Coins. Letters. Rusty nails. At least a few useful things. She threw the cloak over her shoulders, put the money in her pockets and disappeared outside. Was it worth it? What was still anything worth...? Her hand slid into her leather doublet. She felt something ... soft, very small in her hand. Slowly she pulled it out and eyed it. The little crushed blue flower. Forget-Me-Not. "I will never forget you." She made her way northwarth. Homecoming. The rights of the characters, which I have invented myself and built into this plot, belong to me.
