The countries of Earth have always been divided and at times at war with each other, but the arrival of the Klybosion Empire  changed  that.  Many countries have joined together to fight a common enemy.  The Klybosion Empire arrived in orbit they first attacked China no ones knows why  they attacked them first. The United Nations created the United Nations of Earth under the command of General John Horton.  June 2012 the Klybosion launch an assault on North America taking over much of New England including Washington DC and parts of California and Washington State. at the same time they attack Germany and other parts of the world.  Prior to Washington DC falling to the invaders the President Gary Horton with approval of Congress makes General Horton the next president of the United States if anything should happen to him or to other members of the Chain of Command. This novel begins 12 days after the Klybosions invaded North America.All Rights Reserved

In the 2300s, space colonization hit its peak. Several neighbouring star systems were colonized. The government of the Earth Dominion governed the majority of all the planets in habited by humanity. However in 2420, war broke out between the Earth Dominion and the frontier planets—known as the Confederation of Sovereign Planets. The war—known as the Wars of Sovereignty—lasted five years. Both sides beat the other bloody but no one came out on top. Peace was finally settled, with the Confederation retaining rule over the frontier planets and the Dominion retaining its rule over the Sol system. In 2450, the Confederation began an exploration mission to the region just beyond their zone of control.
