Based on Byron Preiss book, "The Secret", Sam Adams embarks on a mostly unsolved treasure hunt, searching for long-buried gemstones, believed to be hidden in various cities around the United States. 

Sam is a wanderer, often referred to as a 'rolling stone', entering his late twenties who has always struggled to find purpose in his life.   Without a consistent job, he decides to hike the Appalachian trail, letting life unfold before him.   It is when fate intervenes and converges with a woman he has not seen or spoken to in years, that he makes a decision to lead his life versus to be led.  Sam is ready, he just has to convince her that it's worth the risk. 

Penny Allen is an environmental lawyer, living in New York City, working for her father's law firm.  As far as she can remember, her life had been planned, scripted and predicted where she never had to question her decisions.     It is not until her latest court win, that she starts to wonder if this is the life she is meant to live, and if by chance or from an unseen force, Penny is faced with a phone call from man she has not seen or spoken to since college.   Penny is ready for a different life; Can she convince him based on what happened so many years ago?
