A hopeless boy, living in a hopeless area, with hopeless dreams, hopeless nightmares
Akeshi Niekawa was raised with one word, despair. His parents loved it, the people in his area loved it. He was raised in the fringe of Tokyo, in the scummy area. By choice. His parents want no money by choice to be filled with despair. This little area loves despair, so he was raised to do the same. To bring chaos and panic to people.
However, Niekawa was born with natural talent for football (soccer), all he needed was a ball and he didn't feel as empty as be was. Playing for his local team, he is being watched by others around the globe. He had the chance to play infront of massive crowds and with his talent he has the potential to become a legend in the sport and be a Japanese hero. Unfortunately, since he was brought up with despair his parents refused. He had too much hope and promise they need to break it.
Now his dreams have been crushed of playing the sport he enjoys, Hope's Peak have their eyes on him and want him to be apart Class 79. However, Hope's Peak are going througha generational crisis later labelled as the tradgey and they want to nail down their new class fast to give hope this school and that they will get over this.
But, they didn't know because they tried this they brought more despair into the world.
"You're different from what I expected," she said softly.
"How so?" he asked, glancing at her.
"I don't know," she replied, searching for the right words. "You just... have this way of making people feel like they matter. Even here, in this... nightmare."
He was quiet for a moment before responding. "You matter, Y/n. Don't forget that."
