Aami Axora was never supposed to know about the project. Of course, she would be dead before its name ever hit her ears. That was the plan, anyway.
Locked away as punishment for a crime she refuses to remember, Aami is determined to find a way to escape the institution and return to the city where she was raised. Though when her path is crossed by Greg McCullough, a strange cyborg employee, her plans to return to her old life take an unexpected turn.
A new paranoia has swept over the planet Absteria. "The Eden Experiment" is what it was called. At least to those who survived knowing its name.
Tension builds between the two refugees as they prepare for a life-or-death investigation of the company they suspect is behind the project: a bionics megacorp by the name of Bader Co. However, Aami's hotheadedness is not one to coexist with Greg's passive demeanor, and the two must force themselves into cooperating. After all, if they want to make it out of the Experiment alive, they're going to have to play by each other's rules.

"The Eden Experiment" is an 85k new adult science-fiction and the first installment of a three-part series. The story is heavily character-driven, and includes themes regarding existentialism, found family, overcoming trauma, and optimism in the face of nihilism. A story for those looking for a tense techno thrill sweetened with moments of feelgood fluff.

Labs, Inc, or in simpler terms, an assassin, tasked to hunt down and eliminate those who stand in the company's way to worldwide success. And she takes her job very seriously. After a successful takedown of a smaller clinic site by a new unheard of vigilante group, she is given her most difficult target to take out yet; the leader of the vigilante group, Noah Sebastian. But he won't go down without a fight, and he's determined to take her down with him, dragging down with him her mind, her body... and her heart. CW: This is a very dark romance, and I will update these as the story progresses, but this is a blanket warning. Clearly, there is sexual content. Blood and gore are also included, as well as some drug and alcohol use, and mental health issues. Reader discretion is highly advised, and like always, this is the only warning you will receive. Original release: 2020 Two paths stretch before Jora as he awakens in the hospital without memory nor any known records: on one, a doctor wishes to help him recover his memory; on the other, a scientist wishes to do the same. However, on their quest for the truth, not everybody has his well-being in mind as they discover the reality of his situation puts their own goals in danger. A combination of Science Fiction and Fantasy that embraces the bizarre, and is wrapped in mystery with some aspects of horror. 2020 Author's Notes are available in the comments. I highly recommend reading the chapters first! 2024 Author's Note: This story has been cancelled, and is due to be rewritten. Many aspects may likely change in the future, though. I originally took down this story because I disliked the universe I'd set up as well as the execution of the story itself, and intended on doing a reimagining. That second take came and went, burning myself out over struggles to pace it well thanks to its highly unusual and experimental structure. This story was also taken down to prevent some of the events that occurred later in it from spoiling the latter parts of "Redwater Riot." That said, I feel like it would be a good idea to rerelease this story as a sort of museum work, a way to look at what my writing was back then and how it has changed over time. I don't intend on finishing "Polaris Garden," though I do intend on a rewrite in a later "Imperial Reach: Awakening." Something much closer to what this was than what I'd done before.
