Aami Axora was never supposed to know about the project. Of course, she would be dead before its name ever hit her ears. That was the plan, anyway.
Locked away as punishment for a crime she refuses to remember, Aami is determined to find a way to escape the institution and return to the city where she was raised. Though when her path is crossed by Greg McCullough, a strange cyborg employee, her plans to return to her old life take an unexpected turn.
A new paranoia has swept over the planet Absteria. "The Eden Experiment" is what it was called. At least to those who survived knowing its name.
Tension builds between the two refugees as they prepare for a life-or-death investigation of the company they suspect is behind the project: a bionics megacorp by the name of Bader Co. However, Aami's hotheadedness is not one to coexist with Greg's passive demeanor, and the two must force themselves into cooperating. After all, if they want to make it out of the Experiment alive, they're going to have to play by each other's rules.

"The Eden Experiment" is an 85k new adult science-fiction and the first installment of a three-part series. The story is heavily character-driven, and includes themes regarding existentialism, found family, overcoming trauma, and optimism in the face of nihilism. A story for those looking for a tense techno thrill sweetened with moments of feelgood fluff.

Original release: 2020 Two paths stretch before Jora as he awakens in the hospital without memory nor any known records: on one, a doctor wishes to help him recover his memory; on the other, a scientist wishes to do the same. However, on their quest for the truth, not everybody has his well-being in mind as they discover the reality of his situation puts their own goals in danger. A combination of Science Fiction and Fantasy that embraces the bizarre, and is wrapped in mystery with some aspects of horror. 2020 Author's Notes are available in the comments. I highly recommend reading the chapters first! 2024 Author's Note: This story has been cancelled, and is due to be rewritten. Many aspects may likely change in the future, though. I originally took down this story because I disliked the universe I'd set up as well as the execution of the story itself, and intended on doing a reimagining. That second take came and went, burning myself out over struggles to pace it well thanks to its highly unusual and experimental structure. This story was also taken down to prevent some of the events that occurred later in it from spoiling the latter parts of "Redwater Riot." That said, I feel like it would be a good idea to rerelease this story as a sort of museum work, a way to look at what my writing was back then and how it has changed over time. The reader will get the chance to explore why good people turn bad, and why bad people turn good, and the reasons behind it. It stars an orphan tomboy named Kelly Titan, an advanced computer scientist with the brains over brawn to her advantage. She was taken from the streets of Earth at a young age to a mining planet, Quill, to work on a project she never knew the real purpose for. Soon she became a part of a new family and gained a purpose. What she didn't know was that she was working on a next generation overwatch system called Olympus. A system keeping millions of people trapped on Quill, never to return back to Earth. All given the promise of a high reward. Instead, they were all fooled and became slaves under Olympus watching eye. Millions of humans became stranded on the red desert planet, only to extract fuel back to Earth. Kelly will understand that what she helped to created wasn't just a overwatch system, it was the very foundation of which a new kind of slavery was built on.
