Ever wondered what it's like to be mute? Well it sucks, but I promised myself I wouldn't talk. Ever since that hot summer day on the way home from the movies 7 long years ago, I haven't said a word. My moms dead. My brothers dead. My dad abuses me. And I'm bullied. Can it get any worse? We'll see.

The Girl Who Couldn't Speak ✓
Mama told me that I was a beautiful girl when I was little. Mama said that I had the prettiest tan skin, soft wavy black hair, and the most enchanting emerald eyes. She always called me her bundle of joy. Then she got very sad when she told me that I didn't have a voice. I was only two at the time. I didn't understand any of the former English gibberish. Mama looked like she wanted to cry every time I opened my mouth to let out what was supposed to be a small giggle of joy. Or when I wanted to say her name and Papa's name. "Why do you let people bully you? It's like you're just a pushover!" My dad grabbed me by my hair and forcefully pinned me against the wall. Fear consumed me, causing me to keep my eyes shut tight the entire time. He angrily punched the wall beside my head, finally releasing his grip on my hair and storming out of my room. If only things could be different. Enza was a quiet girl who faced challenges she had no control over. She had mild autism and although she excelled in school, she had moments where she would break down. Living with her family - her mom, dad, and two older siblings - Enza was treated the worst despite being the youngest. Her dad despised her for being different and treated her horribly. The only source of love in the house came from her mom. But there was someone else who truly cared for Enza - her best friend Jace. Walking into an empty house is normal to me. I guess I got tired of saying 'I'm home' when nobody is home to reply. It wasn't always like this. I remember when our family was close. Now we don't see each other any more. We don't talk to each other. We don't eat with each other. We don't ACKNOWLEDGE each other. This all happened after my 'Mother' killed herself. My father blames me. This is my story about how I learned to not count on anyone else but myself. I'm broken. I'm used. No one can fix me. Time was standing annoyingly still and I think I may have forgotten how to properly breathe. "Panda you have to come sit down pacing is not going to-" pushing my hand out I stopped him from saying anything. I stopped him from confirming the knowledge that there is nothing I can do to make this better. I pulled at my hair ripping a couple of strands out in the process. I hated the white walls and fluorescent lights that adorned this place. The squeaky sound that could be heard whenever anyone walked and right now I was causing a lot of squeaking. The strong smell of disinfectant burning my nose but none of it matter right now not any of it. "Where is he?" I heard the voice and my blood immediately started to boil. "You did this" was the last thing I said before I flew and was on top of his mom hitting her wildly. So much for not liking confrontation.Complete
