Prologue:
In the heart of Seoul, where the city's pulse beats strongest, lies the Seoul Palace, a bastion of tradition and power. Within its walls resides the royal family of South Korea, their lives cloaked in a veil of secrecy and privilege.
At the helm of the palace is King Hyun, a stern ruler whose commitment to duty is matched only by his unwavering love for his family. By his side stands Queen Minseo, a graceful and elegant figure whose poise belies the weight of her responsibilities.
Their daughters, Jennie and Jisoo, are the pride and joy of the palace. Born into a world of opulence and tradition, they are the heirs to a legacy that stretches back generations. But behind the facade of royal splendor lies a tangled web of secrets and half-truths.
Jennie, the younger of the two sisters, has always felt the weight of her royal lineage pressing down upon her. Homeschooled and sheltered from the outside world, she longs for a taste of freedom and independence, to live a life beyond the confines of the palace walls.
Jisoo, on the other hand, embraces her royal status with a sense of ease and grace. Educated at a prestigious private high school, she moves effortlessly between the worlds of royalty and commoners.
But beneath the surface lies a secret that threatens to tear the royal family apart. Jisoo, unlike her sister, is not the biological child of King Hyun and Queen Minseo. Her true father is a man named Changbin, a fact known only to a select few within the palace walls.
As the royal family's secrets begin to unravel, Jennie and Jisoo must choose between loyalty to their family and the pursuit of their own happiness.
