in a different world, a war is raging between two species, a war caused by cruelty and hate a kindling for a raging inferno that started when human military forces were found to exclusively not take prisoners if it involved anthros this along with videos of anthros being executed by humans started an uproar within the anthros causing all anthros to declare war on humans. The anthros were far superior in terms of strength, stamina, intelligence, and intelligence, causing the human race after 40 years to be considered an endangered species with their numbers being in the few thousand and to not be killed but captured if possible.
Y/n was stationed at the last human stronghold in the wilds of Pennsylvania high in the mountains on top of a depot of weapons, and ammo the anthros had completely encircled the stronghold with the trench line being only a mile away and no man's land just beyond.
Y/n during this time of desperation is sent on a mission for something of great importance before humanity falls.

All contact was lost when the last human army was encircled and destroyed in the arctic, no human contacts have ever been reported since the last army. The Hazards of My Chosen Profession (on hiatus)
Michael also known as "Wolf" (because of a patch he wears on his kit and helmet) is a member of what was the 75th Ranger Regiment. He finds himself a veteran of a war between humanity and anthros. While he doesn't exactly hate them he doesn't exactly trust them either despite their efforts to rebuild the relationship between species. Unfortunately a good chunk of humanity and anthro kind was wiped out due to the war. But due to the anthros ability to reproduce faster they were able to recover much faster leaving humanity at a loss. Michael finds himself alone and on the run from a one of the most dangerous anthro militaries (at least to humans), known as the Obsidian Front. They continue to hunt down and kill humans forces despite the end to the war, causing proxy wars and often large scale skirmishes between them and remaining human militias.
In The Long Shot
30 years of war was all it took for humanity to fall under the wrath of the anthros. Even if the last known human base was destroyed long time ago, there yet stand survivors. Hidden in the shadows of what they once called home, their future seems uncertain and hope is a word their dictionary no longer contains. (It's obvious the cover is done by AI)
