In both the kingdoms of Seirin and Rakuzan, everyone of royal or noble blood Manifests as either a Fireblood or an Iceblood - commoners and servants born as neither. One fateful night, the Queen of Rakuzan births a son who Manifests as half an Iceblood. On the same night, the Queen of Seirin births a son who Manifests as both an Iceblood and a Fireblood.
