His heart beats for her, as well as her heart beats for him. Going through the shadowhunter process, Simon realizes that he will have to go through a lot of things when it comes to being half-angel. The punishment was that she would lose all her memories of the Shadow World, of her family and friends, but most of all, of her Jace. When she said goodbye to her brother in Toronto and laid him to rest, her first rune disappears, her angelic rune. She does not tell anyone because it is Alec's wedding and she does not want to ruin it.
