Mallory had always grown up with the knowledge that they were a target because of their summoner family. Fear and paranoia have been part of their life since they were born. This only gets worse after watching their parents be brutally killed by creatures they had never seen before and seeing their brother be forced in the military after he too becomes a summoner. Walls are built to protect the city from these new monsters and peace is brought back. Mallory tries everything to stay out of sight of those in power, but when they are attacked by a monster within city walls they are forced to summon a spirit to help them.
