Summer grew up in a world where there were two types of people. Kooks which are the rich on the island and the Pogues, they poor and working class. She is a full on Pogue and has never known a life of luxury. Her twin brother JJ are as close as can be and they have the same friend group. They have always been told that Pogues and Kooks don't mix, but when Rafe Cameron catches eyes for her even status doesn't change the way he feels for her.
