A broken down college student, Juliette Campell, thinks she's going no where in life. Everything is only going down hill, and nothing is getting better.

One day, when she's getting her morning coffee, she runs into someone and it changes her life. She feels like she recognizes who he is, but she just can't put her finger on it.

It drives her crazy trying to figure out who she ran into. She just can't figure it out. Until she realizes who it was. It was Alex Turcotte of the LA Kings. She asks hersef how she could've even blown that shot of getting his number.

She bumps into him again at the local café and finally gets his number. Everything finally felt like it was going up. Until that changed.

She got the wretched call. The call she never wanted to get. The call that would happen someday. The call telling her that her mother passed away.

Everything would only go down from there. It was only then Alex realized how much she was struggling mentally- from this and from other things. Alex would have to try his best to make her feel loved, and like she mattered. He would do anything to make Juliette realize she has reasons to be alive.
