You know what they don't tell you about Unisex names?
The world is on your back twice as hard.
You know what the happy, lovey-dovey parents who misguidedly name their children with the forsaken Unisex name, DON'T consider?

The hard cold fact that, the already unbelievable rate at which a child's identity can be stolen, has just been doubled, and have reached impossible heights.

So thanks to you, your child's doomed, and their life hasn't even begun.

Still happy?

Jestin Ames is just another girl, among the many, who wanted at least something in her repetitive, too perfect, too boring life to go awry. Something to make her special, and not so ordinary life, well not ordinary!
She drowned herself in books, and even put herself in harms way to gain the notice of whoever dishes out luck.
Because at this point in her life, she wanted the unlucky side of the coin. And, with her investigative skills, and incessant negotiating, she was sure she could make even this "magical being" strike a deal. She wanted change.

And boy did she get it....

~*~

"Hey," head lifting slowly, remorseless. "It was me. I stole your identity."

Becoming Rory by dannie-writes
25 parts Complete
As Rory Bradford, a twenty-four year old woman who had been previously known for her incredible problem solving skills, found herself making the biggest decision of her life, she discovered that she wasn't particularly good at solving her own problems. On one hand, there was the man that she was engaged to; Noah Cadwell, who checked all the boxes on the 'man-of-her-dreams' list. Sadly, as she realized only days before the wedding, they weren't able to connect romantically, their relationship purely platonic from her end. However, this train of thought was only one sided. Noah, being oblivious to the doubts Rory had been having, thought that their wedding was going to be the best day of their lives. Clearly, he was mistaken. On the other hand, there was Sadie Copeland, a co-worker of Rory's at the law firm. She was the complete opposite of Rory. Where Rory loved planning, Sadie lived for spontaneity. She was the opposite of what Rory was looking for, including the fact that she was a woman. So, after feeling a whole new range of emotions and desires with a woman that she had never felt with a man, Rory was forced to reevaluate her sexuality, which she had never allowed herself to question. Rory couldn't help but wonder if she had accidentally found the woman of her dreams. So, when the identity that Rory had previously worn as a badge of honour began to crumble, she became determined to discover who she truly wanted to be. With the help of Sadie, she hoped that she could finally become Rory. [ cover by the talented @queen_of_sass ]
Is This My Life?(Completed) by Firetail606
16 parts Complete Mature
16 year old Harley Jenson has never had an easy life. With an alcoholic, drug addicted, abusive father; a mother who couldn't be bothered to pay attention because she was always too focused on Harley's 5 year old twin brother and sister; no friends, no one to confide in, no one to trust. For the sake of her mother and siblings, Harley has always been at the receiving end of her father's.... Outbursts. Never talking unless she was forced to, so that she didn't accidentally let anything slip out. Hiding her body under long sleeved shirts, jackets, long pants, and concealer, so no one could see the evidence. Pushing people away, so they wouldn't get close, so they wouldn't get hurt. These are her defences. Not only for herself, but for everyone. However, after one night of her father inviting his friends over to have a 'sleepover' with Harley, as he'd arranged dozens, if not hundreds of times before, something happens that Harley had never even thought to fear. Now, her defences will gradually become less and less efficient. What will she do when the clothes and makeup can no longer hide the evidence? What about when people start trying to force their way in, despite her pushing them back? And how about when she gets forced to talk? All her years of carefully hiding herself in the background, staying in the shadows so no one would give her a second glance, are all being threatened. What can she do? ~~~~~~WARNING: This story contains strong language, drug use, sexual and physical abuse, and topics/situations that may be triggers for some people.~~~~~~ © Copyright 2014 All rights reserved

Andilynn

10 parts Complete

🍧~ Welcome to Cricket, a small town in the middle of a desert, where everyone knew each other and no one had to worry about locking their doors at night. Every day here was the same, and Andilynn was getting bored of it. Meet Andilynn, a sixteen year old red-headed weirdo who now lived here because she technically killed her mom. It was an accident of course...Andilynn is a sweetheart. It's just she was born with Schizophrenia, a mental sickness that causes her to hear voices, have hallucinations, and fun things like that. Cricket was boring, and she wanted to leave, but when she tried, everything would go black, and the day would restart. Yes, restart. The first time the day had restarted, Andie woke up in her bedroom. She ran downstairs, nearly tripping over her own feet. Belle, Andie's grandmother greeted, "Happy Friday, dear." "Friday? N-n-n-n-no, we've already been through Friday." "Thursday was yesterday, dear." "But I-I just woke up on a Friday morning, like two hours ago." "Andie, we've talked to you about skipping taking your pills." And then the hallucinations would get worse. They were so realistic Andie could never tell reality apart from illusion. Andie thought leaving town would set her free from her past, sleeping with her friend's boyfriend, getting arrested, fighting with her dad. She had to find a way, but for some reason, life didn't want her to leave.
