Charlotte Hobson is an evolutionary biologist who works at the Australian Centre for Evolutionary Biology and Biodiversity, following closely in her mother's footsteps. When the experiment she runs is at risk of being shut down, she and her second-in-command must find a way to speed things up. Their attempts to do so go horribly wrong, however, and their test subjects - a superior race of newly evolved primates - escape, putting the entire city in danger. Charlotte, her husband William, and a rogue police officer by the name of Wilkes must find a way to protect Charlotte's test subjects from the public and vice versa as panic levels rise. They find that the situation is not so simple to resolve, however, when things spiral out of control after violent outbreaks from the public and the murder of one of the primates. Fearing for the survival of his group, Ida, the leader of the superior race, proves he is willing do anything to protect them, taking the situation further than anyone ever anticipated. Will Charlotte and her friends find a way to stop this threat before it's too late? Or will the world crumble at the hands of her own creation? This debut novel from budding young author T.C. Oldham is jam-packed with action and will have your heart pounding from cover to cover. Be sure not to miss it.

On their 5th birthday, they're dying. By their 18th birthday, they're dead. In a place known only as the Sanctuary, children of an inferior race known as Ebonies are forced into being test subjects. But they have no idea what they are doing. Their lives are no longer their own, their freedom and rights non-existent in a world where they are believed to be the cause of a fatal virus. For that, they must pay by being drugged, abused, ill-treated and experimented on in order to combat the disease they started and cure the Ivories they unleashed it on. Naomi is an Ebony. But she is also an Ivory. Her curiosity and intelligence have led her to the truth. And she knows she must escape. But how can she escape when she is already dead?
