Annabel and her father have been on their own since her alcoholic mother left them after she cheated on Annabel's dad and Annabel's dad, Evan, found out Annabel's mom has beaten her. Annabel is depressed from never seeing her dad, who works a lot, and being bullied at school. She also fights self harm and her social anxiety. Evan finds Felony Guilbert, Johnnie Guilbert's mom, and they fall in love. Annabel and Johnnie quickly start falling for each other, but there is one problem, you can't be in love with your soon to be step brother. Johnnie doesn't think dating Annabel would be smart, but that doesn't mean he stops caring about her. He tries to help Annabel fight her depression and self harm since he also fought with depression. How long will Johnnie and Annabel be able to hide their love? Can Johnnie really help Annabel fight her depression? Read to find out!
