Freelance journalist Danny Monday has built somewhat of a normal life for herself. Radioactive DNA aside, she's gotten herself a career, a nice place to live, a couple friends, and a secret career as a time-warping superhero, though no one needs to know about that.
However, there's something Danny's beginning to realize she's missing; someone to share this nice little life with. With a heavy mistrust of men after years of neglect from her father, Danny is reluctant to try her hand at the dating scene, but that's going to change after a chance encounter with a former high school classmate outside, of all places, a local coffee shop.
This story is about a girl who is running away from her next 'family' she is 24 and has been an orphan all her life. Her previous 'parents' don't trust her so they send her to another family. She ends up knocking on the first door she can find in a small residential area.
Little does she know that when she meets the person at the door, her life is permanently changed and she finds the true meaning of 'family'.
