August Clarke, a talented cinematographer battling addiction, is thrust into fatherhood when he gains custody of his daughter, Chasity.

On set of the film he's working on, he meets Lola Montgomery, a famous actress known for her difficult behavior, which masks her own trauma from the abuse she endured in Hollywood. Despite her initial disdain for August, she bonds with Chasity from the moment she meets her on set.

Their shared concern for Chasity forces the two to get closer to one another. And as they spend more time together, they both help each other heal their individual wounds.
