For as long as she can remember, Ichigo Kurosaki has been able to see ghosts.

To most people, Kouh Town is just another peaceful Japanese city. To Ichigo, it's a place crowded with wandering spirits, strange phenomena, and mysteries nobody else seems to notice.

Despite her unusual ability, her life is relatively normal. She attends Kouh Academy, helps out at her family's clinic, gets into fights with delinquents, and does her best to protect her younger sisters.

Everything changes the night she encounters a mysterious black-clad warrior known as a Soul Reaper.

The meeting reveals a hidden world lurking beneath everyday life-a world of monstrous Hollows that devour souls, Soul Reapers who guide the dead, and a supernatural war involving the Three factions and Soul Reapers operating in the shadows of Kouh Town.

After obtaining the power of a Soul Reaper, Ichigo is thrust into a conflict far larger than she ever imagined. As Hollows become more aggressive and the Three Factions take notice of the orange-haired girl with overwhelming spiritual power, she finds herself standing at the center of a growing storm.
