Madeline was never the one to call for sweets.  Ever since she could remember, her body had developed a rare condition in which it became intolerant to any type of dessert or confectionery.

Now living her life as a College freshman chemistry student, her condition progressed over time leaving her to point of fainting from the tiniest bites of sweetness. Her parents planned to escape back to their home town to help her recover and hopefully find the reason to her abrupt sugar crash. But little did they know that by coming back home sinister family secrets and bitter truths resurfaced as Madeline discovers a family recipe, a forgotten legacy, and decadent twist of fate that leaves her in a mouthful situation.
