The World is safe. Thick walls protect you from others, monthly shots protect you from illness and 24/7 camera surveillance protects you from yourself.
The World is big. It is a community that thrives on its own. You won't have to be bothered with the measures and details that keep it going as a society, like a well-oiled machine.
The World is the only thing you need to know. You won't be troubled with extensive knowledge that doesn't benefit you in pursuing the path of career you have chosen. You won't be troubled with the tragedies that drove us into a bunker, nor the horrors of the Outside. Until you put someone in danger, of course.
Then we'll get properly rid of you.

There's not a lot that can freak me out in this world. Only large animals with sharp claws, too many people touching me, bullies, hives, horror movies, sitting underneath fans or lights or anything that dangles from a ceiling, glass or wooden bridges, my mother, mosquitoes, public situations, taking a shower with nobody in the house, taking a shower with too many people in the house and crocks. Oh, and zombies. Zombies is definitely on that list. It's almost a shame too, that I have to race through a city packed full of them to find my missing family.
