Dhaka Is Dead

"Dhaka has fallen. We are the last remnant of humankind," declared the cold, robotic voice, its words slicing through the three rotating cities-Dandaka, Baghdad, and Trantor-orbiting Venus. After the "Great Rain" and the "Lost Age," Dhaka had been the beacon of civilization's restoration. With unrest and terrorist attacks simmering across the globe, Dhaka's mediation efforts were constantly in the news. But no one could have foreseen the deployment of ancient nuclear weapons. The shockwaves of Dhaka's collapse rippled through the rotating cities, plunging them into chaos.

Order was eventually restored, but resources dwindled as manned space travel to Earth became impossible. Half a century later, a young couple, Philip and Pritilata, stand accused of a grave crime- not new to them. Previously shielded by Pritilata's influential family, their fate now hangs in the balance.
