For centuries, the Abyss Runners-skilled warriors who fight Demons in corrupted dimensions, have been in a mourning period known as the Long Nightsong, where they await the next Solus Seraphim to be born, a powerful hunter and mage with the blood of angels who will lead and protect humanity against the Harbingers of the Abyss.
For hundreds of generations, the Eye Keepers of the Citadel of Cantus Angelorum have always maintained a close watch on the next Solus to arrive, but on one fated day, a Harbinger slaughters an entire line of a Solus generation, preventing any chance for one to arrive for a millennium, this unleashes a Divine Punishment.
When Anchora graduates from high school and sets off to go College in New York, her entire life changes on her 19th birthday when she develops The Sight and can suddenly see demons and creatures of the Abyss.
She learns of the hidden shadow realm and of a place where a constant battle is fought between Light and Fire.
