Mature
Another Skyrim story... what if character creation was actually... character creation?
A twist on the "modern girl in Skyrim" idea.

Alternate title: "I'm Not Real."

An idea that mostly came from a trippy dream not long after starting and then not having time to finish yet another Skyrim play-through...
Also inspired a bit by a particular glitchy attempt at reinstalling vanilla Skyrim...

This is fanfiction, meaning some setting and plot elements are not original to me.
Cover art came from a free download from wallpapers.com found by googling "Skyrim scenery."

Marked mature just to be safe; there will be graphic descriptions of canon-typical violence, self-loathing dark thoughts, and potentially other mature themes later on.

Echoes and Fragments - A Skyrim Story by RedMad
18 parts Ongoing
Arc I - Echoes and Fragments She just wanted to stay alive. She became necessary. Armed with a bow, a broken past, and a soul that roars like dragons, Ruby never meant to be part of history. Now, she's rewriting it. __________________________________ Ruby has no memory, no name, no home. A wandering huntress, she survives from one contract to the next across the frozen lands of Skyrim. One day, caught in an ambush between the Imperial Legion and the Stormcloak rebellion, she escapes execution... thanks to a dragon. The event shatters everything: her world, her certainties, and perhaps even the fabric of Time itself. Her path crosses that of Markab Steel-Blood, a Nord warrior as calm as she is ancient. Marked by dragon's blood and centuries of solitude, Markab senses in the young woman a destiny she herself cannot yet understand. Between them, a bond will form, sincere, unpredictable, dangerous. As Skyrim sinks deeper into civil war, Ruby must choose between becoming a symbol... or remaining free. And Markab must decide whether enough humanity remains within her to still believe that history is not doomed to repeat itself. A saga inspired by the world of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, blending fantasy, tragedy, and the search for identity. __________________________________ Disclaimer: This story is inspired by the universe of The Elder Scrolls, which belongs to Bethesda Softworks. -COMPLETE- (Thank you for taking a look at my fanfic! It's fairly long but mainly because I continued it for current readers. Please read and enjoy this, as I enjoy writing it!) Y/n L/n was the daughter of two nords. Her parents had been killed by theives when she was 9. She had been found and taken in by a werewolf. Soon the Silver Hand killed him and took her to their camp. Y/n made friends with a girl before she was moved to a new camp. A boy took intrest in her and they soon fell I love. The two were inseparable. Soon a dark elf joins the party and the three become best friends. The boy is soon taken in to train for leadership over the camps. Y/n was trained and wanted to hate wolves, yet she had a strange love for the mysterious creatures. Then she happens to get caught up in a raid with the Companions. She had helped Urgrad, her best friend and love, kill the leader, Kodlak. Soon the Companions want revenge and attack her camp. She gets drawn away and is found by a man. A man she's met a few times before. Farkas. She joins the group and they train her. Her destiny falls into place as her life is quickly changed as she falls for the werewolf named Farkas. I update frequently! The chapters start of slow but I promise they get better! THIS STORY IS BASED OFF A ONESHOT BY: @TheDragonBreath her account isn't valid but the first few chapters based off her one shot. The story is called 'Of Fond Memories' and is really good.
