-15 Years Later

"Red, You've belonged to me since the moment I laid eyes on you," his voice was cold, but his words hot like fire burning into my skin. 

"But I thought... I thought you hated me," I protested through my busted lip.

"For someone good at reading people, you clearly couldn't read me," his gaze began to roam over my body, seducing me like a pair of hands. My body trembled in response to the places his eyes lingered.

Sitting up on the bed with my wounds neatly bandaged, our eyes locked, and I said, "Show me you don't hate me. Show me that you want me then." I felt my body heating up at the words that came out of my mouth.

His piercing eyes analyzed me silently. After a moment of quiet, a smile tugged at the corner of his lips. "Beg me, Red," his voice lowered, his eyes darkened.

I had a gift of reading people's minds, but for some odd reason. I was never able to read his mind. Yet in that moment, I was certain-he was having some very bad thoughts. With a wicked smile, I leaned forward and begged.
