A homeless couple find a abandon building and move into it. They adopt a street child and hide her from her pimp. Only the building is strange. There are spiritual entities within. Not a danger to the homeless family. Deadly to the pimp and his soldiers. The homeless couple find the child's real relative and finally are convinced to send the child back to her relatives. But not before the spirits of the building reveal themselves. In the process the spirits reveal that what they expected. The building was a living, feeding entity. I put this story as mature because it discusses things that may be disturbing. Human trafficking, survival sex, child abuse, homelessness, and the control methods used by people involved in human sex trafficking. I was homeless three times in my life. Yes, I am crazy
I don't know when it happened, or how, but I know I'm crazy. Nothing more, nothing less. Or well, maybe add weird too. Most people tend to stay away from me and it's no mystery why. But then those five hot guys just had to come and kidnap me. Like, why? Because apparently my dad is the leader of an infamous gang and these teenagers want to take him down. Pfft, still doesn't count. Now, I'm just worrying about whether or not I want to get released - an excuse for skipping school? Hell yeah! Though there is that tiny, little issue regarding the question about if they are going to kill me or not.
