Tired of always being defeated by the Cybersquad, The Hacker devises a new plan to get rid of them for good: by traveling to the real world to capture them there. After teaming up with the city's greatest supervillains, he becomes unstoppable. Learning about this, the Cybersquad teams up with their city's number one superhero and beloved creature-adventuring duo.

During their quest, they uncover the legend of the Protectors of Cyberspace, a group of heroes that existed in a time long before Motherboard. Now, they must race against time to retrieve all four powerful crystals before Hacker does. With the help from some unexpected allies, can the Cybersquad stop Hacker and his syndicate of villains in time and save the universe?
