Patrick Stump was hiding a secret. It was something that he had never told anybody—not even his parents nor his siblings—because he was certain that revealing his secret to other people would let them think only one thing: he had gone completely nuts.

That wasn’t the case at all, thank you very much.

The truth was that Patrick could predict when people are going to die. No kidding. And, actually, “predict” wasn’t the correct term to call his “gift” or “ability” or whatever at all… Patrick could see timers above people’s heads, indicating the amount of time they’ve got left to live.

After years of witnessing multiple near-death accidents and the untimely passing of people he knew and even those he didn’t know—which he was clearly aware that he could have stopped and saved their lives if he had only tried—Patrick thought that he had lived long enough to see some good friends die, and he knew that it was probably a dangerous time to be a friend of his.

He was on the bad side of twenty-five.

New schools are supposed to be filled with great new experiences, new friends, new rules to (never) break. And for Dallon, that proves to be correct. Pulling pranks, skipping class, nothing he'd ever done before, all said new experiences under his belt. And to make it even better, they'd all been accomplished with the aid of the incredibly stunning (and enticing, and gorgeous, and heartbroken for the 56th time) Brendon Urie from down the hall, and his other partners in crime, Pete, Patrick, and Ryan. Everything goes according to the nonexistent plan. Well, at least it does for the first 218 days. .:..::...:::...::..:. "I'll see you tomorrow, alright?" .:..::...:::...::..:. Based on Looking For Alaska because I love that book
