She didn't want to be Queen. So that left that to her cousin, Andy Bjorgman. He was likely going to take his duties seriously. Unlike his cousin. So when her friends, Jay, Lonnie, Ben, and Carlos head to the Isle of the Lost, Elena comes along too.

After learning to chill and Ben getting stubbornly captured, Elena falls for one of the pirates that captured him. The son of Gaston, Gil. Until Elena has to return to Auradon.
