A young man named Timothy is urgently seeking employment. He yearns for a life of mild adventure and just so happens that he stumbles upon an intriguing job advertisement. Posted by Balord, a dwarven captain, the ad calls for additional ship hands and boasts an enticing pay. Eager for both adventure and income, Timothy sees this as a golden opportunity to explore the stars and earn a substantial salary. Unbeknownst to him, the high wages come with a significant risk: the sectors where Balord's large cargo vessel operates in is rife with pirate activity. As the captain of a prominent commercial and industrial transport ship, Balord is a prime target for pirates eager to seize valuable loot. Timothy never had been a fighter before in his life, now that he's roped up in this mess, he'll have to adapt his skills if he wants to survive. (I hope you enjoy the story since this is the first one I've ever written. At some point, I will publish this short story)
