Alex Sherman's mother Jenna, works graveyard shifts almost every night, she rarely gets to see her mother on any day other than Sundays when her mum comes home early. Alex's brother Chris is usually staying at one of his friends house's to sleep he hates seeing his drunk father but that's not the only reason.
When Alex was 12 and her body started to mature, her father forced himself on her and continued doing it every time her brother Chris and her mother were out which was often. Alex loves school because that's her only escape from home and she gets to see her friends. Alex won't tell anyone about her home life, she finds it humiliating and shes scared of what her father would do if she told someone.
One night her mother comes home early and catches the father in the cruel 'act' she immediately stops it and calls the police sending her father to prison. Will Alex finally be able to have a normal life?
