With the chaos of junior year cotillion put behind them and their senior year coming to an end, the VK's are thinking about what comes next for them in their new life after Auradon Prep. The future is far brighter for them now than it was when they were stuck on the Isle of the Lost, and it was about to get a lot better for the next generation of Villain kids who were coming in to replace them as a part of Adrien's reintroduction decree.

But there's still a nagging sense of worry that keeps Marinette up at night with visions of the palace waylaid by Juleka and her band of pirates, the throne room covered in sea water and Adrien caught up in the siren song of the sea witch's shell. When Maleficent almost escapes the barrier, things just seem to go down hill - Chloe has Hades' Ember and is causing chaos across Auradon and it's up to the VK's and Juleka's pirates to set things right. But what will catch up to Marinette first - her own lies, or Chloe's need for vengeance.
