A 16 year old Cassie Bang moves from Outer Banks North Carolina to Des Moines Iowa, and she tries to solve the problems of misogyny at her new school while also dealing with her home life and drug problems. She also faces the problems of her future, will she go to college and finish her 'dreams' of studying history? Or will she go the feminist punk way with her shitty guitar? Or will she face the problem of love..
SPOILER!!: this book is really just about Cassie and her story, joey is mentioned in it but in later chapters, joey is definitely more mentioned and in the story more!!

A Starling's Redemption by ChrisPropeck
30 parts Complete
Book two of the Starling trilogy... Repentance, forgiveness, and reconciliation. Three words that are not familiar to those trapped in the cult of social status. Amanda Talmage is from a family trapped in that cult. At 16 years old, she's a beautiful, rich, spoiled brat, status worshiping, mean girl - i.e. - a Starling. Amanda is miserable, and feels hopelessly trapped in her life of status. Dick Ryndon, Amanda's ultra-wealthy ex-boyfriend, only saw her as a trophy. He didn't love her, but everyone told her that staying with him was best for her status. That is, right up until the moment when he dropped her off in the country, and left her for dead. Joshua Whitaker is a hard working middle class boy, with a warm heart, and a strong conscience. At 16, he has an after school job, and drives a pick-up. He and his family routinely help-out their elderly neighbors. They are good Samaritans, living out the precept- "love your neighbor." Joshua and Amanda have never liked each other. But when Amanda finds herself stuck in Joshua's family's home, she's exposed to another way of living. Amanda is forced to face herself, her past, and an uncertain future. The working title was "Amanda's Story. This is the draft I submitted to my editor. My Girl

65 parts Complete Mature

Cal Jackson's new life as a rockstar fails to account for one thing: the existence of the girl he loves. ***** "What are you thinking about?" she asks. "A song," I say. "A new song." I stare at the ocean as I sing the song that I wrote, something that comes from the darkest place of my heart. "Do you even know how gifted you are?" she whispers. "You're destined to be someone big, Cal." "Really?" "Yeah." ***** She's perfect in every way. Beautiful. Smart. Her bright future is right there in front of her eyes. While here I am. Ruined. No college, let alone a future. Just an image of a wannabe rockstar with tattoed arms and an old guitar. I knew that our story would be no less than that tragic Romeo and Juliet shit the moment I laid my eyes on her, but still, I can't resist her. The moment she whispers my name, "Cal," I lose all sanity. She becomes my melody, my lyrics, the song that keeps echoing in my ears. People call her Mia. I call her my Amy, her name crafted above my beating heart, tattoed on my skin. Amelia Davis is my girl. Mine. And only mine. ***** THE JACKSONS BOOK #1 © 2021 Anya Jayvyn. All Rights Reserved.
