Athena's whole life has been wrapped around the concept of Greek gods. Her parents, the famous mythologists, Elena and Nicholas Ariti, extremely serious about their Hellenistic beliefs. They do not allow her to watch certain movies, and listen to certain music artists because they believe it will "poison" her brain. Athena is starting her junior year, the year where she submits college applications and decides what she wants to do in college. Her parents have had her entire life mapped out for her since she was born. According to their expectations, Athena will graduate Valedictorian, go back to their homeland of Greece, and then study at the University of Athens. However, what happens when her electives get mixed up, and the system puts her into Creative Music and Freestyle, instead of her usual Greek language class? Athena soon discovers the art in music, and how it helps her express her emotions in ways words never can. She surrounds herself with people like her, burdened by the expectations of other people. Athena finds love and true friendships in this class, but, what will happen when her parents find out about the switch up? Athena knows the unsaid truth. All hell will break loose.
