Delilah Moore was a girl who was born, and raised in an orphanage known as, The Sister's of Quiet Mercy. Lilah was an outcast towards the other girls, and looked down on even as she was one of the oldest. She followed the rules exactly as intended, and kept to herself the rest of the time. When she turned of adult age, she was kicked out of her home, with no knowledge to the outside world to come.
She had no clue where she was, what to do, and how to survive. Then she saw a man, that seemed very intoxicating in the best way, and the worst way. Like a drug that was pulling her closer and closer, and she just wanted to swim in him.
Delilah didn't know she would start drowning when she got close.
Ezra Dalton was a put together, proper, and work addicted man. He kept to himself, on his own, because of how he was raised. Watch yourself, watch the people around you, and destroy whomever tries to bring you down. He wasn't known to talk to people outside of business. He felt keeping to himself would help him suffer the consequences he went through as a teenager, so he just let people try and try till they gave up on him. If you don't ever get attached, no one can hurt you.
He either saw them as acquaintances, or rivals. No friends, no relationships, no ties to anyone. He looked down to everyone, not thinking anyone would ever surpass him.
Until he met a girl in khaki, walking around like a clueless, and fairly clumsy girl. She found her intoxicating and addictive, in the best way. He didn't let anyone get close, or know him. Until he found his drug. He didn't know she would figure him out like a puzzle.
Because of this, he wanted to drown her, in the best way.
